The two types of alerts sent are emergency and informational.

  3. The vehicle has been in a collision
  4. If a fault is detected by the car’s computer.

Note: These same alerts are sent via email too.

Informational alerts are sent via email only and are used to inform about driver behaviour including:

  1. Speeding (more than 110km/hr)
  2. Harsh braking
  3. Harsh acceleration
  4. Harsh cornering

The SMS alerts can be sent to up to 5 people. Email alerts can be sent to unlimited email addresses.

If there is an accident, what happens?

In the event of an impact, the tracker sends a report to our database with all data prior to, during and after the impact event. From this data, an algorithm identifies whether this is a true impact event and if it is deemed to be a possible collision. If so, an SMS and email alert are sent to the emergency contact.
